Welcome to the second week of "The Ultimate Fighter: Lesnar vs. dos Santos." Read on for spoilers, a fight recap, and the reason why Brock is choking that poor bunny.

Apocalyptic drill of the week: At Team dos Santos practice, Junior has his fighters put on gas masks and train. Keon Caldwell struggles through the practice, saying that he had a hard time leaving his family.

Lesnar teaches what he knows: wrestling. He corrects his fighters in their grappling ways and says that he expected to lose the last fight because of the picks. He also uses his favorite phrase: "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken [expletive]."

Gut check the week: Caldwell talks with dos Santos, and says that he wants to go home to see his daughter. Dos Santos tries to talk Caldwell through the indecision, and his teammates point out that he needs to stay for his daughter, but in the very next frame, Dana White walks in. He asks for Keon, and Keon looks like he soiled his pants.

White gives him a surprisingly compassionate speech, reminding Keon that he needs to fight for his daughter. No f-bombs were dropped in the making of this motivational speech.

Fight pick of the week: Javier Torres (Team dos Santos) vs. Chris Cope (Team Lesnar)

Lesnar isn't surprised by the pick, as he thinks that Junior is matching up his best against Lesnar's weakest fighters. An odd wrinkle in this fight is that Cope trained with Lew Polley, dos Santos' assistant coach. Polley tells Torres all the wrinkles of Cope's game, particularly that he doesn't like working against the cage.

Gut check that didn't work of the week: Keon still isn't focused in practice, and he decides to go home. He mentions that knows it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but feels like it's the right thing to do.

Many will look at Caldwell as a crazy man, but he did the right thing. Fighting takes 100 percent of your effort and focus. To give anything less is downright dangerous both to himself and his teammates. Saying, "I want to be a fighter," and actually doing it are two totally separate things. When faced with the actual life of being a fighter, he realized it wasn't for him and left the door open for someone else to take over.

Wait, Brock is human? of the week: Sensing that Cope is an underdog, Lesnar sits his fighters down to remind them that no one is indestructible. Everyone can lose fights. Lesnar brings up his own loss to Cain Velasquez as proof of that, opening up to his team and showing a vulnerable side.

Stuffed animal of the week: Before the fight, a nervous Cope reads and rereads a letter from his girlfriend. He pulls out a stuffed animal, a good luck charm from his girlfriend's daughter. Torres' motivation comes from home, as well, as he learned that he was going to be a father before he left for the show.

Fight of the week: Torres (Team dos Santos) vs. Cope (Team Lesnar)

Round 1: Just as his coaches instructed, Torres takes Cope into the fence and grinds him out there for nearly two minutes. When they separate, Cope tries to land strikes and pushes Torres into the cage. Torres responds with a hip toss take down. Cope works back to his feet, and the two continue to work against the cage for much of the round. Just before Cope pushes away, Torres lands a knee that opens a cut underneath Cope's eye in the final seconds of the round.

Round 2: Cope starts strong by throwing kicks, but Torres takes him into the fence again. When Cope can break free, he does well and lands kicks and strikes, but Torres does a good job at keeping him clinched against the fence. Torres tries in vain to get a takedown, but remains in the clinch.

After two rounds, the fight is called a draw, and they head to a third round.

Round 3: After tons of clinching, Torres tries for another hip toss takedown but it misfires, and Cope falls on top of him. Neither fighter seems interested in the ground, and they return to their feet and the clinch. Two odd moments happen when the fighters get confused by referee Herb Dean's instructions. First, he tells them to fight or he will break them apart. They stop fighting, and he has to tell them, "No! Fight!" Next, Cope throws an inadvertent knee to the crotch. Torres is given time to recover, but it's Cope who picks up a second wind. He has an easier time breaking free of Torres' clinches, and lands knees and kicks. Dos Santos begs Torres to take Cope down, but he never listens. Cope dominates the standup for the remainder of the fight.

Judges decision: Cope wins it two rounds to one. That makes Lesnar a happy man, because his fighters just made chicken salad out of chicken [expletive]. He tosses the bunny to Cope in glee.

The UFC has cut another fighter following UFC Fight Night 24, as MMAWeekly.com reports that middleweight Mario Miranda is out of the organization after his loss to Aaron Simpson.

The loss was Miranda's third in four appearances in the UFC. After suffering his first career loss to Gerald Harris by TKO in his UFC debut last March, Miranda picked up his 12th career win with a dominant TKO win over former UFC Middleweight Title challenger David Loiseau.

However, Miranda then dropped back to back decisions to Demian Maia and Simpson, leading to this release. He joins Ultimate Fighter 11 runner-up Kris McCray as fighters cut following the March 26 event in Seattle.

Link to Original Source Article

Penick's Analysis: This is another one that isn't entirely surprising. It was only his second straight loss, and they were both by decision, but they weren't the most exciting fights and when he was only 1-3 this was a likely result. Like a lot of fighters that get cut, he'll have a chance to get back with a few wins outside of the organization, but this is not all that surprising.

Buy Kelly & Donna's '90210' Beach House!

How many of you Beverly Hills, 90210 fans ever dreamed of living like the kids from the famous zip code?

Well, now you can.

Donna Martin (Tori Spelling) and Kelly Taylor's (Jennie Garth) infamous beach house from the '90s teen drama is for sale -- and you can start moving your stuff in for a cool $9 million.

For that nice chunk of change, you can sleep in the 2,600 square-foot Cape Code home where Donna lost her virginity to boyfriend David (Brian Austin Green). The house, which is located in Hermosa Beach, Calif., has six bedrooms, three private terraces and views of the beach and the ocean. You can check out plenty of photos of the space here.

The spacious living quarters are being listed in the rental market as "the 90210 house," even though it's about 20 miles away from the actual zip code.

For so many years we dreamed of living like the kids from Bev, but $9 million is quite a hefty price tag. Maybe we'd considering shelling out the dough for the big, blue beach house -- if only it came with Brandon (Jason Priestley) and Dylan (Luke Perry) included!

Ricardo Almeida announced through his Facebook account that after his loss at UFC 128, he was ready to hang up the gloves.

During these almost four years it has been a personal struggle to find balance between my fighting career, caring for my son who was diagnosed with autism soon after I signed a six-fight deal with the UFC, teaching at my growing Jiu Jitsu Academy and the family duties we all have. MMA is a great sport but also physically and mentally unforgiving. It is a dangerous task to step in the octagon, specially if your focus is not at 100%.

After much deliberation since my fight at UFC 128 I have decided to step away from the sport as a fighter.

Known as a BJJ ace, Almeida put together a 13-5 record in MMA. He started fighting in 2000, but took a break from MMA in the middle of the decade and returned in 2008.

What's impressive about Almeida's retirement is that he did it. This isn't an easy thing for fighters to do, especially those going out on a loss. Almeida is setting an example for other fighters, saying, "Look. This isn't easy. We need to realize that." For that measure of grace, Almeida deserves a ton of respect.

The latest installment of Wes Craven's slasher-flick franchise 'just might be the bloodiest of them all,' writes to one reviewer.
By Eric Ditzian

Neve Campbell in "Scream 4"
Photo: Weinstein Co.

If the critics are to be believed, "Scream 4" comes closer to recapturing the horror franchise's bloody and ironic glory than anything else we've seen in nearly 15 years. Unlike the first two films (the original in 1996, the second in 1997), overall reactions to 2000's "Scream 3" were neatly summed up by one Entertainment Weekly reviewer who said that "the only thing the movie kills with any decisiveness is your time."

By contrast, the critics have been relatively kind to "Scream 4," often praising its twisty plot and welcome humor, though occasionally lamenting over its tired premise. For those critiques and more, read on for what the pros are saying about the new Wes Craven film.

The Story

"[T]he story premise is neat: Having published a self-help book about how she has, as Oprah might say, moved on after outwitting every previous Ghostface who ever lunged her way, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell, looking uncommonly lovely) returns to promote her tome in her hometown of Woodsboro. Old Screamers Dewey-the-cop (David Arquette) and Gale-the-journalist (Courteney Cox), now married, are there to greet her. So is Sidney's teenage niece, Jill (Emma Roberts). And so, conveniently, is Jill's collection of glossy friends and classmates, each ripe for slaughter, or at least struggle, now that Sidney's back in town. Among the potential targets, Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin stand out as a snarky party girl and an avid movie geek. In her own corner of the frame, Alison Brie ('Community,' 'Mad Men') happily goes for the jugular as Sidney's aggressive young book publicist." — Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly

The Scares

"Craven made sure he continued to keep the franchise R-rated. 'Scream 4' just might be the bloodiest of them all. There are rooms covered in blood, intestines spilled out onto beds, knives being driven into people's foreheads (this is so crazy amazing I can't even begin to tell you), and much, much more. The film earns its stripes and the moniker of a 'slasher' film." — Brad Miska, Blooding Disgusting

The Pace

"Individual scenes have passing energy and jokiness, even if nearly all of the latter is highly insular in the way it self-consciously references horror genre tropes and the series' own history. But the narrative doesn't build the way it should in a good suspense film; just as it seems that the climax has arrived in a big Stab-A-Thon night at which dozens of horror geeks have congregated to watch the series while Ghostface is on a new tear through town, the film downshifts as it prepares to string out the last series of murders as long as it can before the final revelations (not bad) about who's behind the mask this time and why." — Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter

The Comparison

"Like its predecessors, 'Scream 4' replaces the values of storytelling and suspense with the value of being in on the joke. Unfortunately, in the 11 years since 'Scream 3,' the joke has gotten pretty old ... [T]he central conceit of the characters' fates being determined by the 'rules' of horror movies feels irredeemably tired; a clever idea that was worth one movie. When a character comments on how meta everything is, the audience laughs, but why? Only because it's been conditioned to, just as it's been conditioned to think that the intellectual window dressing makes the 'Scream' movies something more than slasher films." — Mike Hale, The New York Times

The Final Word

"Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson let us believe that [the killer] might be anybody (though, according to the rules of horror movies, obviously it isn't the person you think it might be). But you don't watch 'Scream 4' to solve a mystery, or to identify with believable characters or situations (just one example: there's a scene set in a hospital that apparently has no medical personnel); you'll watch it to see a horror movie that has a sense of humor about itself. For 'Scream' franchise fans, or for those who like their horror not too horrific, that's enough." — Moira Macdonald, The Seattle Times

Strikeforce_Diaz_vs_Daley_poster_180_4.jpg
Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz meets a very dangerous opponent this Saturday in Paul Daley at Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, Calif. The always entertaining Diaz has won nine straight fights over the last three years, along the way capturing the Strikeforce title and defending it twice; and now he faces a man in Daley that he considers one of the best strikers in the division, even if he doesn't see him as a well round opponent.

"I'd say [his striking ability is] probably better than anybody else than we've got fighting in MMA at 170, up there with K.J. Noons. As far as probably boxing goes, and stand-up striking skills," Diaz said on a media conference call last week.

"I was asked before... about what I thought about Paul Daley, and I said I wasn't overly impressed with his MMA skills, as far as [being] a well-rounded fighter is what I meant by that. And I gave sort of an analogy of how I thought that fight might go in my favor, if it were to go in my favor. And that's pretty much all I had to say about that."

Strikeforce has represented a good home for Diaz, as he's been pushed as one of the organization's top draws, and has gotten matchups that have all made for highly entertaining bouts. Diaz said that penchant for Strikeforce to put together those striker vs. striker type matchups, along with what were favorable rules with Strikeforce banning elbows on the ground, were things he enjoyed about the organization.

"Strikeforce, they've managed to put a lot of fights together with good stand-up fighters," he said. "You don't see so much of the wrestling. Even though it's the same sport, it's the same criteria - it's more geared to the wrestler - but I think the mat's faster in there and it's more of a striker's league. That's kind of how it's been."

"I like [banning elbows on the ground] because it just reminds me of the way the Pride rules used to be. That's the way mixed martial arts should be, because it favors mixed martial artists, and the more technical grappler and the more technical stand-up fighter. So it's in favor of everybody except for maybe the wrestler or a stronger guy who's going to [control you]."

Diaz doesn't feel that elbows on the ground - which are now legal in Strikeforce with Zuffa purchasing the organization and implementing the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts - do anything but allow the top controlling fighter to avoid standups and open cuts on their opponent. For Diaz, that doesn't constitute an entertaining path to victory.

"The elbows just kind of help it so that they're not going to stand the fight up," he said. "Because if a guy is holding you, then they're like, 'OK, we need to see some action.' So then the guy doesn't let go, he just throws those short elbows, dropping his forearms. That's the only reason why I have a criticism towards the whole thing.

"And then it's cutting me up, and I'm not getting paid as much as boxers are. And they're not getting cut as much as me now, because I'm being elbowed by a less technical fighter. That's not what you want to see. You want more entertainment in this sport. That's what you want to see. So I'm just looking [out for] everybody's best interest. But that's just how I feel about all that."

He likely won't need to worry about the implementation of elbows in his bout with Daley, however, with both fighters looking to go toe-to-toe on Saturday night in San Diego. The fight airs live on Showtime.

Producer says he was 'in NYC tryin' to make tracks' for B and Bells' songwriter/guitarist.
By James Montgomery

Over the years, Diplo has worked with everyone from Thom Yorke to Spank Rock (and, of course, M.I.A.) so perhaps it should come as no surprise that, for his next collaboration, he's chosen to work with none other than Beyoncé. Oh, and electro-slammers Sleigh Bells, too. It all makes sense, in some bizarre way.

This is according to Dip himself, who posted a message — and a remix of the Sleigh Bells track "Tell 'Em" — on his blog, in which he let it be known that he, his production partner Switch and Sleigh Bells' songwriter/guitarist Derek Miller just wrapped sessions for Beyoncé's follow-up to I Am ... Sasha Fierce. He wasn't quite sure what would come of the tracks they created.

"Me and Switch was in [the] studio in NYC tryin' to make tracks with Derek and Beyoncé last week after we played her team [Sleigh Bells'] album," Diplo wrote. "Dunno if we gonna manage to finish, but [it] was good times."

At the very least, you know Bey's husband, indie-rock fan Jay-Z, is pumped by the news. Diplo is just the latest in an ever-growing list of top-flight producers who have worked with Beyoncé in recent months. There's still no release date or tentative title for her upcoming album, but she's logged studio time with the likes of S1 (he of "Power" fame), Ne-Yo, Sean Garrett and Jim Jonsin.

A spokesperson for Beyoncé did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the Diplo tracks by press time.

'I have not been approached to fill in for Robert Plant on the Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be,' singer says.
By Chris Harris

Chris Cornell
Photo: MTV News

Former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has spoken out for the first time about rumors that he's been asked to fill in for Robert Plant on a proposed Led Zeppelin reunion tour. The trek would feature original guitarist Jimmy Page, original bassist John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham taking over on drums for his late father, John Bonham.

Cornell has been mentioned — along with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, White Stripes mastermind Jack White and Alter Bridge's Myles Kennedy — as a potential Plant fill-in. Plant has already said that he wouldn't take part in the tour.

"I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be," Cornell told MTV News. "I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss tour."

Cornell's denial comes just a day after Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford confirmed reports that frontman Steven Tyler recently met with Zeppelin for an impromptu jam session. "They did it for fun," Whitford said during an appearance on the syndicated show "Todd N Tyler Radio Empire." "I actually think Jimmy wanted Steven to come over and play a little bit because I think he was trying to light a fire under Robert."

Rumors of a Zeppelin reunion tour have abounded since the iconic band played a single reunion set last year at London's O2 Arena. Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider added fuel to the fire last month when he revealed that the group was thinking of touring, with or without Plant.

According to Snider, the rest of the band told Plant, " 'We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go. Here's a gazillion dollars on the table. If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid [Myles Kennedy].' "

"And he can sing the sh-- out of Zeppelin," Snider added. "They're going to hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, 'OK,' and step in."

In a recent interview, Jones told BBC Radio Devon that a new singer was being sought to take over for Plant. "We are trying out a couple of singers," he said. "We want to do it. It's sounding great, and we want to get on and get out there."

But Jones insists that he, Page and Bonham aren't interested in finding a Plant clone. "It's got to be right," he said. "There's no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be onboard."

Of course, even if Zeppelin were to approach him, Cornell might be too busy to take over vocals for the band. His upcoming Timbaland-produced solo LP, Scream, will be released within the next few months. Cornell told MTV News last month that some of his fans might consider Scream something of a departure, but he doesn't see it that way.

"It makes me happy that there's this perception that I have a group of fans that I'm now sort of throwing a curve at and what their reaction will be," he said. "But I've been in this situation so many times already. When I put out [1999's] Euphoria Morning, my main goal was to create an album that sounded like nothing I'd done in Soundgarden, and I did that. I also had that with Temple of the Dog, where I showed up with songs that weren't necessarily riff-based. And then, of course, the pairing of me and members of Rage Against the Machine had everyone sort of speculating about what that would sound like.

"It feels like I've done this so many times that when it's presented to me as being a departure, I feel that's a misconception," he added. "I feel like that's my theme at this point."

Christina Milian and Tristan Wilds were spotted out at a launch party in L.A. yesterday while Kelis teamed up with designer Matthew Williamson to launch his Impulse label at Macy's in NYC.  See candids inside...

Yesterday, Audrina Patridge celebrated the launch of her new reality show with Bongo at The Redbury Hotel In Hollywood.

Both Christina Milian and Tristan Wilds came out to support her.

The "90210" actor and singer brought along his trademark smile and smirk.  Such a cutie!

He kicked it with reality tv star Audrina PatridgeSidenote: I am a closeted "The Hills" STAN.  And I want to know WHO gave Audrina--the most boring person in the franchise--her own show?  Just saying.

Audrina also had some fun with Christina Milian exchanging clothes.  Can these shorts be any smaller?

And the fab Christina got a little retail therapy in before she left.

And over on the east coast.....

Kelis teamed up with designer Matthew Williamson for the launch of his Impulse label at Macy's Herald Square.

Though the stage was tiny, Kelis still put it down.

I like the dress, but not the full outfit.  Very Matthew Williamson though with all the bright and airy clors.

She posed with Matthew at the event.

We do love Kelis though because she's always fashion forward and in her own lane.  Now are those socks or did she tie bows to her legs?

OK, Taylor Lautner fans, today is the day! "MTV First: Taylor Lautner" debuts in just a few hours, at 7:56 p.m. ET on air and online. The 19-year-old star will exclusively debut the first trailer from his upcoming action/thriller "Abduction," after which the conversation will move to MTV.com where Lautner will sit down with MTV News' Josh Horowitz for a 30-minute interview.

To hold you over until then, MTV News is pleased to present a little sneak peek of today's epic interview, when Lautner talks about the end of his work on "The Twilight Saga" and what the cast reactions will be when filming wraps on the fourth and final film, "Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

"I think it's mixed emotions, for sure," Lautner said of his feelings on nearing the end of filming. "Half of me says, 'This will be a relief. I get some time off, I get to spend some time with family and friends and do other things,' but the other half says, 'This is going to be so weird.' "

When asked whether he thinks he and his fellow castmates will shed any tears, Lautner was man enough to admit that they'll all likely share in some waterworks.

"Nobody will admit it right now, but I guarantee you there will be tears," Lautner said.

In another sneak peek of our interview, Lautner addressed the inevitable comparisons between his character in "Abduction," Nathan Price, and Jason Bourne. "I would say Nathan Price's journey takes place before Jason Bourne's started," Lautner explained. "When Jason realized, when he was searching for his true identity, he was already a trained expert."

Don't miss "MTV First: Taylor Lautner" tonight at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com. Tune in to see Lautner debut the trailer for "Abduction," followed by a live 30-minute interview on MTV.com. Tweet questions using the hashtag #asktaylor to get in the conversation!

We'll chat with RPattz, Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz and more Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon in "Water for Elephants"
Photo: 20th Century Fox

Third time's a charm! Back in March, MTV News sat down for a 30-minute live chat with Robert Pattinson after the star introduced an exclusive "Water for Elephants" clip. Then we met up with the 24-year-old star again at the "WFE" press day for another extended conversation about everything from "Breaking Dawn" to his favorite TV shows. Now, for the third time in less than a month, we'll once again be talking to Pattinson — and we'll be bringing the interview to you live on MTV.com.

At this Sunday's "Water for Elephants" red-carpet premiere at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City on Sunday, at 5 p.m. ET, host Josh Horowitz will not only be chatting with Pattinson but with Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz, Hal Holbrook, Ken Foree, Donna Scott, director Francis Lawrence, best-selling author Sara Gruen, and other celebrity guests.
